The SAT is another common college entrance exam used by many colleges and universities to determine admission and scholarship awards.

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a multiple choice test, administered by the United States Military Entrance Processing Command, used to determine qualification for enlistment in the United States Armed Forces. It is often offered to American high school students when they are in the 10th, 11th and 12th grade. It is not a requirement of enlistment but does help determine careers within the military.

The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is an assessment administered to 10th and 11th grade students that helps prepare them for the SAT, college, and careers. Additionally, the PSAT can provide opportunities for scholarships for students entering college. Historically, students who take the PSAT score higher on the SAT than those who don’t take the test.

ACT Aspire maps learner progress from grades three through high school on a vertical scale, anchored to the scoring system of the ACT.

All 9th grade students will take the ASPIRE during the fall. The 2016 test dates are November 29th and 30th, half of the grade level will test each day. The test last from 7:30 a.m. until approximately 11:00.

AP (Advanced Placement) is a college prep course program offered by College Board and the Fox C-6 School District. The AP program enables students to pursue college-level studies with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement in college, or both while still in high school. 2019-2020 AP Reimbursement Form

End of Course Assessments

Students are required to take 4 End of Course Exams in High School:

• Language Arts II
• Biology
• American Government
• Algebra I (if a student took the Algebra I EOC in 8th grade, they will take the Algebra II EOC in High School)
